Daniel Cruz is responsible for photographically and video documenting the history of Visual. Months ago he proposed doing a series of features about our colleagues. The project grew and we decided to accompany the photos with brief texts to introduce each person.

This is the first part.

Thanks to Dani for his magnificent photos and to Vero, Laura, Hugo and Alberto for giving us their time and allowing us to get to know them a little more.

Laura has been through criminology, law, human resources, labor relations... but it was economics that became her main interest, especially studying the motivations behind economic decision-making. An enthusiasm inspired by Daniel Kahneman and Dan Ariely. Specializing in behavioral economics and expanding her education with a degree in psychology were her next steps.

Fed by these readings, she researches and imagines people and behaviors that she puts to paper surrounded by beach sand and the sound of waves.

Nonconformism, not only intellectual, but also geographical. From Ourense to Philadelphia, Prague, Munich and, back in Spain, she continues searching for a city. Preferably with sea.

That explorer spirit made her take advantage of her stay in the Czech Republic to get a car and travel through much of Europe. From Lake Bled in Slovenia to the Christmas markets of Krakow and Warsaw.

And she's only 25 years old. And she brings all that knowledge and experience to Visual's Profitability department.

Verónica is a person of searches and discoveries, of places and people.

She was born in Asturias but ended up captivated by the pleasant temperatures and fine white sand beaches of the Rías Baixas. Later, her desire to discover new landscapes led her to work remotely more than 10,000km away, in Southeast Asia. After first steps in Phuket, her journey extended for months in Kuala Lumpur and Indonesia. Dancing between different cultures and nationalities and touring the street food stalls of night markets.

A passion for gastronomy and healthy eating fundamental for doing sports, whether yoga or half marathons. Those long runs by the sea that make her think "just this once and no more," but that she ends up repeating. Good habits that she transmits to the rest of Visual from her work on the People Value team

Hugo dove into the world of programming through the loud keys of a Spectrum that a good friend had given him. It was the 80s, time has passed but that friendship and his passion for technology endure.

From playing with BASIC to getting serious with dBase. And from dBase to professionalizing with Visual Basic. And from Visual Basic to discovering Velneo at the beginning of the new millennium. A journey in which he has been forging friendships and clients that continue to this day.

The value of perseverance that has also helped him swim dozens of kilometers in open waters. Sometimes alone, other times surrounded by competitors or dolphins.

Those times have calmed down but he still blows on the cartridges of his Nintendo while building models and fine-tuning the arcade machine he built with his own hands.

Alberto grew up under the light and blue sky of Mallorca. There he alternated stouts and folk music with hikes and biking through the Serra de Tramuntana. Pure Mediterranean, like his favorite movie.

His studies in Ancient and Medieval Art History took him to live under the leaden gray sky of Santiago de Compostela. What better place for it. Later he would train in design in a guild manner, under the guidance of a master and friend, just like the medieval stonemasons he had studied so much.

Now he goes to pick up Leo from school, listening to Baiuca and thinking about Pogačar's next feats in the Spring Classics.

For three years he has been a designer at Visual, where he contributes all his experience in the world of design and communication.
